I love October. It’s a month for retrospection. The weather is cool and inviting, the year is slowing down, winding its way to December. People are more relaxed as they are gearing up for the upcoming holiday season. Before we descend into the mad whirl of year-end vacations, Christmas and New Year, it’s good to take a look back at the year, and also look forward to what’s coming up. It’s also time to prep next year’s planner!
Even though I live in a tropical climate and we do not get seasons, I still love autumn. The weather finally turns cool, and the colours of autumn foliage are so gorgeously rich during this season.Everything is less hectic and chaotic somehow. I love taking my holiday trips during autumn.
It’s the peak of summer, and also my birthday month! Happy birthday to me! (shameless!) I love the pages for August, they look so scorching hot, and it’s music-related!
It’s that time of the year. 6 months have flown by and we are all half a year older, some with a lot to show for it, some (like me) with nothing to account for. I say this every year, but this half year has been exceptionally tough for me, due to the job change. My journals, planners, and this blog, have unfortunately, suffered from lack of attention.
Still, it’s time to invest some TLC back into what I have been using, if any changes are needed for the second bit of 2017, and how that is going to affect what I will be using in 2018!
Because of the sore lack of use of the Moleskine Daily planner, I am now cheating and using several pages in it to plan for this series of blog posts. Work is still crazy, so this may take some time.
But in the meantime, if you can’t wait, take a step back and look at how I started planner planning (oy vey) in my Planning for 2016 blog series.
Welcome to the second half of 2017! Half a year has just whizzed by, and that is some scary stuff. It’s time to set the rest of the year right. Tidy up your planners, update your journals, refresh your stationery stash, and let’s get going!
